masbury says: Poses an "unacceptable security risk" Ideologically narrow-minded; temperamentally unreliable Unfit to lead? Maybe a harem. Pop for his comments on McCain, spot on, but no one should trust Obama, who already said he would continue the (fake) "war on terrorism", including invading Pakistan, etc...just like McCain. Obama has mentioned nothing about scaling back war, other than Iraq! Excuse me? How soon we forget: "♫Bomb, bomb, bomb! Bomb, bomb Iran!♫" McCain's clearly the greater danger; an uncontrolled hothead that the terrorists can play like a patsy to increase their recruiting efforts to massive levels. McCain is very dangerous, IMO. He's a loose cannon. He would 'shoot first and ask questions later.' (an American cliche.) Obama is a far, far, far better choice. He realizes the waste and stupidity of starting a false war for false reasons in Iraq, realizing the need to kill or capture bin Laden -- not just as revenge -- but as a necessity of American national status and history. No nation can allow attacks like 9/11 (or, previously, Pearl Harbor) without responding and going after the actual persons responsible. He is nothing like McCain; for someone to say that is either just smear, propaganda, or a failure in intelligence. Maybe some would like Utopia, and for Superman to run their co... temperamentally unreliableThat is my concern as well. Blueridge, I agree totally but there are two points that I cling to in hope. 1. As a Black man he had to be the perfect candidate or they'd have chewed him up and spat him out. One black swallow does not make a non-racist summer. It will go a long way. He has has to be part magician to please all or at least a majority. All politicians lie. He's no saint. He can change nothing without power. Hopefully he is the least corrupt of a bad lot in a bad system. 2. Bust America is his perfect excuse to do what needs doing as against what he promised. The excuse that things are far worse than we knew back pre-election will be used regularly. If the bailout/subvention to the Zionist based on inab... Yes blueridge and ratcatcher2 I agree with you, Obama,s followers too; need experienced international advisers. (BUT) Imagine disaster if McCain was elected and had stroke when he blew a fuse and Pallin was hitting red buttons because God told her to.Makes USA one great loose cannon in global affairs if not the end of the world. To win back international respect they need to rein in the Zionist hammer stop bullying small nations and make Europeans foot their share of bill, in combating religious extremist,Chinese hypocrisy in Africa,(Sudan, Burma),United Nations should be worlds policeman not USA. "Imagine disaster if McCain was elected and had stroke when he blew a fuse and Pallin ..." After Iraq, Katrina, Guantanamo, and on and on, it has become far too easy to imagine any nightmare scenarios. I'll need 6 months of Obama to recover after 8 years of Bush. So further nightmares in the interim like you outline will undo my nerves. So no "bomb, bomb, bomb! Bomb bomb Iran" Lots of truth in all these posts. Although I would say Obama is a lot better than just a choice "between the lesser of two evils." He's a true populist, wanting not just "benefits and bailout for Wall Street but something for Main St. as well." But he also has common sense and is a realist who has a real belief in working towards consensue; because of that he sometimes goes along which many think of as conservative or right-wing positions. I think, too, that he will put together an excellent group of advisers. The team he pulled together to run his campaign was real smart and effective. He's a graduate from one of the most prestigious law schools in our country; he's no fool. Agree with the obvious. |
