Ice caves, by contrast, are caves of any type that contain <A href="http://www.goodearthgraphics.com/virtcave/ice_formations/iceforms.html">speleothems made of ice</A>.</DIV> Glacier caves almost always form from flowing water entering the glacier through cracks or crevasses, which are then enlarged over time, both by erosion and melting.
