I have said it before and will say it again. Companies don't pay taxes, their customers do. So when they say they are going to tax oil companies more, what they are actually saying is they are going to raise taxes on all those who consume anything that oil companies produce. Obama and the democrats are out there publicizing the fact that they are going to make you pay more for gas, more for oil, more for anything made with plastic, and in the end, more for everything from food to postage and counting on you being so stupid that you cheer them on.

What everyone seems to keep missing is the fact that when oil companies do well they have to pay taxes. To the tune of 9 billion dollars last quarter. When oil companies do poorly, they don't have to pay taxes. Idiotic congressmen should at least understand this much. Actually, they probably do understand the economics it just doesn't give them a chance to play politics with the situation.
