Well . . .did you want him to write the guy a check? Sorry, I don't mean to sound cold but I don't know what this Governor could have done other than write a personal check to the guy. And then I guess he would have to stand up and do a Jim Baker - 'I have sinned before you oh God!' I don't think he was prepared to do that. I'm not up on SC politics and maybe I'm talkin', or rather typin' out my a%s.

By not accepting Federal Stimulus funds for his state due to his political stance on the issue, Sanford shows his true colors as red and not red, white and blue. On top of that, he also shows no compassion for the people in need is his state and therefore is not really doing his job as a representative of the people.

bookwormy, The point here is that this governor is refusing federal funds that would help this guy. Which is ridiculous. He's playing partisan politics at the expense of the people who need it. To say he's going to pray for this guy when he has the power to help him is just about the most un-christian thing I have ever heard of. Not only is he out of touch with the people but he has little knowledge of his own religion. His religion is religion of the self. It's all about him. These are the people who have destroyed this country and will continue to do so. We, the people, have to keep people like him from getting back in office.
