Hippos, bats and sloths can't jump either.

I carved and painted a few blue herons and had them in my yard. Though I knew of no Bluejays in the vicinity, they came a flying over the blue herons. I think its because they can see blue. So, I personally would have to dissagree with the stated fact that only owls see blue. I also dont understand where the advantage would be for an owl to have this ability.

The elephant is the only mammal that can't jump.

I've never heard of a whale jumping.
