I don't think I will ever understand why people cannot simply "live and let live." I know, I know...that is a corny and over-used phrase. However, it states it well.

If someone lives, thinks, or believes something other than what I do.....and yet they are not HARMING anyone.....I don't understand the issue.

People, as an unfortunate and general rule, feel very fearful and threatened by what they do not understand. Even if there has been NO ATTACK made on them. The fear then often causes them to strike out at the object of their disagreement, rather than opening themselves to the possibility that we can agree to disagre...

No...I'm not a "tree hugging hippy" type. I am a believer in the fact that humanity has the capacity for great kindness and frightful cruelty and I only wonder why we so often choose the later?
