I am such an idiot! I was leaning up close to my laptop to listen closely, almost dropped my laptop, had the crap scared out of me and then had my friends laugh at me for much too long!

Those startle moments can be pretty freaky as intended, but I hope noone here at the volume up too loud — you can get serious hearing damage and that's not funny if you have ringing in your ears (tinnitus) afterwards.
