wildcat says: There's no old-fashioned Star Trek-like "Beam me up, Scottie" in this movie. The character simply wills himself to "jump" from one place to another. The wife and I stumbled upon a book that was suppose to be an adaptation of the story (by the author) to better prepare the audience for the upcoming movie. We both found it entertaining and look forward to the movie. One tactic that I thought the story missed on with someone having this power is to grab a bad guy, jump to a point very high in the air, and then to immediatly jump back (minus the bad guy) before any falling speed is developed. OR If you do incur falling speed jump back with your relative alignment to the ground offset by 90 degrees so you appear sliding across the ground rather than falling toward it. Do this over water and you will skip the surface and then jump to land ... |
