lol — Comment removed by clipper — In 1960, King was arrested for trespassing during a sit-in and held in Georgia's Reidsville prison. Fearing for his son's life, Martin Luther King Sr. appealed to presidential candidate John F. Kennedy to secure his release.[url=http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/18/AR... The Republican Party of 1860 would not recognize the Republican PartyBingo, and now the States' Rights Democratic Party (Dixiecrats) would identify as Republican. Contrary to the false assertions by Democrats, the racist "Dixiecrats" did not all migrate to the Republican Party. "Dixiecrats" declared that they would rather vote for a "yellow dog" than vote for a Republican because the Republican Party was known as the party for blacks. Today, some of those "Dixiecrats" continue their political careers as Democrats, including Democrat Senator Robert Byrd who is well known for having been a "Keagle" in the Ku Klux Klan. Another former "Dixiecrat" is Democrat Senator Ernest Hollings who put up the Confederate flag over the state capitol when he was the governor of South Carolina. There was no public outcry when Democrat Senator Christopher Dodd praised ... Modern day DemocRats are nothing more than slave-masters. Their welfare and entitlement programs have done nothing to eliminate poverty or improve the lives of most black Americans. While there may be some genuinely misguided liberals who believe that they are helping...they are in fact doing nothing but exacerbating the problem. Not a false assertion, as it was not the dixiecrats in the Congress that left but their base that migrated to the Republican party due to Nixon's southern strategy (just look at any recent electoral map). As for Bird, he has renounce his past commitments and does not hide them, unlike some others. Democrats have never cared for the black man as they do care very much for the black vote. oh yeah POPPED X 1000 |
