I agree! German police practice the same measures. Whenever there's a full moon, people are drawn to the outdoors. I know I am. It might be easy to hide in the dark, But knowing where we are going is easier under a full moon. Burglary isn't a brilliant strategy. It's easy for a burglar to believe that not only can they see, but that everyone will be asleep to suit them. They get caught in the spotlight. Burglars who know about being seen in the moonlight, study their target, with the objective being to do it blindfolded. Burglaries can often remain unreported or even unknown, but as soon as some one witness comes forward there can be trouble. I also thought that maybe people were more prepared to go and see if there is any trouble on a Full Moon. In the dark people aren't as eager to get involved. If you are going to be a witness, it helps to be able to see. Luna has some strong powers. As an avid astrologist (I don't mean those silly sun sign predictions in the paper) I totally believe. It's known that the moon pulls the tides -- our bodies are mostly water, so it's logical that we are affected. Having worked in ER's and psychiatric facilities, I have observed first hand the increase in incidents. Actually the psychiatric problems often balloon 2 to 3 days prior to the full moon. When my son was born during the day of the full moon that night (I was the only one even in the labor room), they nurses, orderlies and doctors couldn't believe they had only one person in labor. But katy bar the door, as soon as I delivered at 2 p.m., a lady came through the door crowning, and between that time and 6 a.m. the next morning when I got up, every room was full of mothers, 2 to a room, the hallway had 4 mothers in the hall and the nursery was full and they kept coming through the doors. They had to start putting mothers in the surgical wing and anywhere they could find a bed that the patient in the next bed wasn't infectious. That was back in the good ole' days when mothers a... If there is more crime during a Full Moon, then most of the crime must be committed in the day time. We evolved around the cycle, and our body clock takes months into account. I'm not sure looking at the dark side is the best angle. \When I look up at a Full Moon, I feel better. Sometimes a Full Moon rising in the red haze can be as inspiring as a sunrise. The light makes people more comfortable and confident. A crime can be committed on a moonlit night, because the criminal is likely to be optimistic about his chances. This positive effect works for more than criminals I think it's more than simple psychology. I never used to notice that it was a full moon, that is, until my boyfriend pointed out to me that I always act differently then. I thought he was trying to be funny until I started using an online site to track my menstrual period and noticed that it always starts a day or two after a full moon. Coincidence? After that discovery, I started researching menstrual cycles and read that women's periods all used to be around the same time (determined by the light of the moon), but now with all of these alternative sources of light besides the sun/moon, each woman's cycle varies. But maybe there are still more women than not whose cycles begin around t... I have been into wicca for over a year now. And it has a lot to do with the moon. Most spells depend on the cycle of the moon. I'm also working on getting my period to start on the full moon. I can feel it working to get on the cycle. I am soooo close! I just have to keep meditating to will my body and drink herbal drinks. And do some spells. And in a couple of months (maybe one or two more) then I'll be there  It would be so much easier to keep track of! And whenever there is a full moon I feel very opened to the spiritual world. And I always get soooo hyper, too! And spells are more powerfull on the full moon, too. And I always wanna be outside! And run around! And meditiate! Yes, the full moon affects me very much . . . YAY! I don't remember full moons. I think I'm a wereskwirl Not because I wake up naked in a tree holding my nuts (I do that anyway) but because I don't remember the full moon. |
