AtlLiberal says: I realize that bringing up the countless times prayer doesn't result in the hoped for outcome would be futile. Theists invariably fall back on the "mysterious ways" explanation. If I were her I'd give credit to my daughter who called the cops. But that's just crazy! Wow, if pulling out Jesus's name to stop a criminal is holy and miraculous, imagine how much blessings there are when you pull out a Colt 45! Strange assault. Why would he want to shove her head in the toilet? I'm not writing the answers that are swimming past me. Why would he want to shove her head in the toilet?Rage, evidently. They were neighbors so it could have been something as menial as her dog pooping in his yard. Who knows? The act itself is evidently meant to humiliate and control. Knuckle draggers often substitute intimidation for dialogue. I'm glad the woman was not seriously injured. What is surprising is that the "divine intervention" was not reported on in full. Was the speaking of his name enough or was it accompanied by promises of future acts of adoration (IOW, was Jesus bribed?)? Wouldn't it be fun to see in depth reporting about claims of the supernatural? I wonder how this would have been handled if the woman had... I once prayed to Odin and got out of a traffic ticket. I always pray to Neptune before entering the ocean. And so far I've never been attacked by a shark. That is proof to me that Neptune is real and will always protect me. And until you give your heart to Neptune you can't understand what I'm saying. And with supper tonight I plan on having a glass of wine and of course it will be blessed by Bacchus. So your measly Norse god Odin is clearly a false god. And who has a god who's married to a goddess named Frigg? |
