In other words, people with actual facts should not step on the toes of those pajama-wearing bloggers. Holy crap. Why hadn't I thought of this before? Good job Clipper! And then there is the WAYBACK machine that shows how websites looked at any given time while on the web. You cannot edit those via the public. Congress, the CIA, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the American Civil Liberties Union.Surely...not these guys? Puh-lease! Big Brother is watching...and deleting. -->"In other words, people with actual facts should not step on the toes of those pajama-wearing bloggers." The big worry is things like Apple and Microsoft editing each other's entries to say unflattering things about each other, in addition to the stuff in the clip about Diebold editing out the controversy over its voting machines. Some of these entities may have facts, but they've also got an agenda. The anonymity of wikipedia allows them to put their own propaganda on the web without the accountability of having their corporate affiliation posted. Kelvin, you hit the nail on the head. Wikipedia is garbage. It is either open for all to contribute or it is not. It appears to me the more informed and truthful contributors are the ones being chastised for their contributions. Errm...I think its the other way around, if you actually checked the reporting on the issue. If you did that...So you can jump to conclusions about edits from a biased report, but I am not allowed to draw my own conclusions? Apparently, not only do you lack any semblance of objectivity, you also see subjectivity as a one way street. What biased reporting, the one where fox talks about others doing edits but does not mentions itself? That biased reporting? Or the reporting by Wired magazine and other industry sources? Oh, because megacorps would never do such things, never... What struck me from the title of this clip is that hardly n e of us on these community websites know each others real names. What struck me from the title of this clip is that hardly n e of us on these community websites know each others real names.Just as we don't know the names of the people driving next to us on the highway.
