We are expected to get 1/2 inch of ice tonight/tomorrow way down here in Houston. It's cold, people. I thought of you and knslyr as soon as I saw that news story, mousie. I hope you're doing well. Weather is really weird. Here it's been bright and sunny, around 11-12 degrees Celsius, for days. We haven't seen a winter this season yet. Very unusual. Keep safe, mousie! Is that your toddler in your P.I.? The mild weather is confusing plants and animals. They are probably really confused now. I think we'll be paying $10 for orange juice this year. haraya, yes. This picture was taken last summer on a train ride through east Texas. Currently she is watching out the window waiting for snow. haha. She's going to be waiting a long time. We plan to stay home for the next few days. No one down here can drive in icy weather. She's so adorable! I'm in Wisconsin and we just got our first snow of Winter last night. We had a snow storm in October but since then there has been nothing and it's been unseasonably warm. I've been out running in January without a coat or hat!! Thanks haraya. Wow, I don't know Wisconsin's normal weather well but it must be a really weird weather, Wurdzgurl. Actually, at first look, it sounds good to people like me, who don't like winter much. But I'm afraid its effects will be devastating in the long term. There are growing fears of drought around the world right now. Mousie, she's a beautiful cutie! What a lovely face and hair! Invictus it is normally a lot colder than this. We've had a lot of rain but the temperatures haven't been cold enough to create snow. Thank you Invictus! Wurdzgurl, today it's colder here than in Pittsburgh. That is just wrong wrong wrong. You must be enjoying not having to shovel snow, I guess. Mousie, we got our second snow of the season yesterdy. The first was in October and that was gone in a day. I am lucky in that I wouldn't have to shovel because my landlord takes care of that but I finally bought boots for my 6 yo daughter yesterday and they were on clearance!! It's hard to believe that we've gone halfway through January and haven't needed boots until now |
