Even reading this story is making me feel kind of ticklish! I wonder if it's sort of contagious like yawning?

Itches just HAVE to be scratched! One way or another or you go crazy! They also have an uncanny knack of showing up, just when you've finished putting on nail polish or are kneading dough or something like that. ALWAYS when both hands are busy and they are least scratchable. It's a law of nature.

Being scratched on the back for example is, on the other hand, the exact opposite. Pure Heaven! .

Itch!! Oh, my! When I first entered peri-menopause (but before my D.O would admit it, swearing I was too young at 37) I used to get the most aweful itch/tickle. It felt like a bug lightly tripping across my skin...or often the very light sensation of a stray hair. It was maddening!! It happened often and regularly for about 3 years. I subsequently discovered that it even has a name. "formication". Really!!! I'm not kidding this time, and it's not a typo. Talk about wearing on your mental health add it together with the hormonal swings and I was psychotic!
