This is great that finally, like peeling away the skins of an onion, the prospect of criminal charges is becoming more real for these terrible men.

The latest threat to Rove is incredible.

After Rove has continually refused 'polite,' request to appear before a congressional committee --- concerning the Siegelman's case. --- he was sent a subpoena.

Now Rove says he still will not show up but will fight the subpoena in the courts.

A lot of people (including myself) groaned and thought, oh well, that will take another year or two. And apparently this idea of fighting it in court instead of showing up is pure bull*hit.

He has to show up. He has to show up even if he refused to testify and ...

He has to show up. He has to show up even if he refused to testify and take the 5th amendment; he just can't tell Congress he refuses -- or that is a crime, no matter what excuse or delaying tactics.

Another twist in the story makes this more interesting.

Yesterday, a Congresswoman on the Judiciary Committee, said on TV yestereday that if Rove doesn't show up CONGRESS WILL ARREST HIM!

Dang! -- I nor anybody I know knew that our Congress could arrest people (.i.e. like a parliament deciding to arrest someone).

Well, it turns out there is actually a one room jail in Congress and they can send out the 'sergeant at arms,' and (without the police or courts), go out and arrest someone.

Whew! This just keeps getting -- as Alice in Wonderland cried -- ''Curiouser and curiouser!"
