cpltaiji says: As far as I am concerned, Henry Allen is an idiot! That is a BEAUTIFUL photo of the Queen and to say it has no personality is simply ridiculous! It is beautiful. A lady for the ages in the twilight of her reign. Growing up in Australia, when I was 9 we had the day off from school because she was in town and half of Brisbane went to the parade. My grandma used to cut out all the stories about her in the paper and Women's Day magazine and put them in scrapbooks. I'll always have a soft spot for Lizzie. I think its a great photo....very classy Critics? Who gives a rats 4$$ about them? Supposed critics are the WORST people to offer a valid opinion on anything these days. Critics also said that Walt Disney's Pirates of The Carribbean was going to be a flop...twice now. They were wrong to the tune of: TOTAL LIFETIME GROSSES Domestic: $423,315,812 39.7% + Foreign: $642,344,000 60.3% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- = Worldwide: $1,065,659,812 ...and that was just the SECOND film. I agree...the critics are morons. The Queen was probably amused by the people who weren't amused. I thought by the way the Critics were going on that the unedited version showed the queen naked. After the grief the royal family has had over the years, this storm in a thimble is amusing, when the quality seems only to be a matter of opinion. As they say " An artist is only as good as his last work." However this picture is seen by fools who forget that he wasn't painting a picture for them. He seemed to show in the picture the respect that the queen is due. Of course some critics believe that the purpose of art is to give them something to criticise. You can never make some people happy, especially when they are paid to be unhappy.Critics hate being criticised.- seems fair. Absolutely exquisite! |
