The hackers got the information, according to Microsoft, using a "phishing" attack, in which they lured victims into revealing passwords and other personal data by directing them to a fake Web site. BBC News and the Web site that first reported the attack, neowin.net, have "seen a list of 10,028 names beginning with the letters A and B," according to the British news service.
