nchnted says: sounds like a Bush mini-me Unfortunately, Obama hasn't really offered any solutions of his own for the US economy other than raising taxes and readdressing free trade. Which is what they did in the early 1930's. Maybe President Obama will be able to ask Iran's President Ahmadinejad how he would fix the US economy over their tea meeting. Not likely. Iran is in as much financial trouble as the US. But actually speaking to people is the first step to resolving problems. Going "Na-na-na! Not gonna talk to you!" stopped working in preschool; it's no mentality for adults to be using. No solutions can be found without discourse, and denying the idea of talking to ones enemies is particularly puerile and counterproductive. |
