Environmentalists always cause problems. More death results from environmentalists than the first world war. What do you expect? These are the same folks shouting about population control, abortion, eugenics, global-warming-socialism to replace the fascist war-socialism. The level-headed have been warning about this for years.

This is how it always goes with moronic environmentalists. See, they say global warming will cause food shortages. They just don't tell you it is their agenda that food shortages are needed to fight their phantom enemy.

Oh , but rest assured there will probably still be a Republican in the Whitehouse that you can blame when there is world famine because lunatics think it is prudent to burn the bottom of the food industries most needed produce.

By the way, Did you know CO2 is a pollutant? Huh.
absurd.

In India, 300 million people have gone from eating one meal a day to two meals a day.

1.3 billion people in China are eating a lot better and eating a lot more meat - it takes 7 pounds of grain to make 1 pound of wheat. Food prices in China jumped 28% in February.

For decades agricultural lands have been increasingly lost to commercial and residential real estate development.

As China's economy improves you are just going to have to expect that there is going to be more competition for products.

As the climate changes in various areas effecting farming you are going to have to expect less production while farmers adjust to different climate patterns.

Historically food has never gotten where it was needed, only where it was afforded. If people are starving it is only because those in charge of those people either don't have the money to import food or choose not to give them food.

Still hoping willhelm is going to explain to us why environmentalists are the root of the problem. I fear that I will end up either laughing or crying at his explanation.

Add to it increasing fuel prices. Most of the world food trade involves ships, trains and trucks, all of which run of oil derivatives, not to mention the harvesting machines in grain producing countries. But tree huggers are convenient scapegoats for those who want to do nothing but stare at the abyss, smiling.

"I see notin!"

IMO as more and more people moves to the cities there is less farmers. Less farmers = Less food in most mom and pop farms. Another issues is land overuse. Maybe they should grow different crops or modified high yield crops?........I don't know... one thing that make sense is the farms had to be run like a business. Very few small farms makes money especially "Grains" farming. You have to be big . And that is where most of the enviromentalist issues sip into the equations . It is not a bad thing. But it will slow down progress even with the best of intentions.
Here is an example
