QUTE FROM ARTICLE: "Civic Platform says it will repair Poland's strained ties with Germany and other EU neighbours. It also wants strong ties with the US but Mr Tusk has vowed to withdraw 900 Polish troops from the US-led coalition force in Iraq." Great. it was such a phony coalition from the beginning. A joke. Other than a substantial force of Britsh there were few real supporters, just nations paid off to be there. Now if Poland changed it's mind about allowing a USA missile base they should get a peace prize or something. But TV reports have implied they'll still go along with the base but want more cash and goodies. The prime minister's twin brother, Lech Kaczynski, is Poland's presidentI see more of the same, regardless of who lost the prime minister seat. It's good to have a backup plan. |
