I think the behavior of politicians is nothing short of despicable. Truthfully, if 4th graders behaved as rudely or lied as much as people running for office do we'd be worried about them. I heard an ad this morning that suggested that one of the candidates supported terrorists rights more than protecting your family. Come on, does anyone believe that? Does anyone think it's appropriate to accuse other Americans of that just because you want to get elected? I think it all sucks. Agreed. "Say anything, people will believe anything. Vote for me now, ask questions of me later. And by all means, never hold me accountable. " At least we have sites like Clipmarks to help people of differing views communicate and try to see differing points of view. Part of the process of holding accountable is the exposure of those things which you have judged they should be so held. Negative ads are good. Dishonest ads are bad. edit: they should be that |
