Stephen Ashbrook emerged on the Tempe, Arizona music scene in the mid-1990s while performing with his band Satelite. He later moved on to Portland where he distinguished himself with a unique blend of pop, rock, country, and folk. The guy is good. Real good. Here's one of my favorite ttracks, from Ashbrook's White Baloons album, Carelessly.
