“We don’t know all the answers yet, and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts,” Obama said. “What we do know is that there are families, friends and an entire nation grieving right now for the valiant men and women who came under attack ... in one of the worst mass shootings ever to take place on an American military base.”

Obama followed up in his weekly address Saturday, noting that U.S. troops are “Americans of every race, faith and station.

“They are Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus and nonbelievers,” he said. “They are descendants of immigrants and immigrants themselves. They reflect the diversity that makes this America. But what they share is a patriotism like no other.”

Even as Obama treads cautiously, Connecticut Independent Sen. Joe Lieberman, the chairman of the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, called the shooting “a terrorist act” and said he plans to begin an investigation into whether . . .

. . the Army “missed warning signs.”

“This was an attack on American troops,” Lieberman said on “Fox News Sunday,” adding, “There are very, very strong warning signs here that Dr. Hasan had become an Islamist extremist and therefore that this was a terrorist act.”

"I don’t know – not having been there and not seeing all the facts – what role race played in that, but I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two that the Cambridge police acted stupidly" Obama said.

And yet another branch of the Government drops the ball...surprise surprise....This was something that could have been avoided. Shame on the Army for missing the red flags...I hope this sad lesson is well learned

Reaction to Fort Hood incident:
Obama has proclaimed the US is a major muslim country in several overseas speeches. He has studied
the Quran and strongly relates to Islam. His politically
correct mind-set is stupid.

Reaction to professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. incident:
Despite the likelihood of Obama and Gates being acquaintances during Obama's stint at Harvard School of Law, he obviously strongly identifies with the professor on their shared ethnicity and liberal leanings. His opinion was already tainted, and he shouldn't have made any comment on the incident.

The photo of Sgt. Crowley helping Professor Gates down the WH steps while Obama walked 20 feet ahead of the pair was priceless! Real classy!
