Let's get involved signing petitions, writing our reps in WDC. It would be a shame if we lose this great service.

It would require that all stations make their streams coded so as to not be recorder. My question is why would some one go through all of the trouble of recording a stream, cutting out the song they want, coding, then listening to it when there are much easier and faster ways out there. If some one is going to pirate music, there are much more effective ways to do it. The software required to encode the streams is very costly. Meaning that website like Live 365, which allows any one to host their own radio programing, would not be able to operate. Internet radio has become a haven for small, underground music markets. Since commercial stations only play the most popular songs. By killing small internet radio stations that cannot afford the software and licensing fees they are killing many people's way to hear new music that they want.</DIV></blockquote></div><div style="margin: 0px 6px 6px 4px;"><table style="font-size: 11px;border-spacing: 0px;padding: 0px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tr><td style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;"> </td><td align="right" style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;width:107px" width="107"><a href="http://clipmarks.com/share/33A0C5DF-A6C3-4394-B5F7-85EAE91F9B73/blog/" title="blog or email this clip"><img src="http://content6.clipmarks.com/images/c2b-foot.png" border="0" alt="blog it" width="107" height="17" style="border-width:0px;padding:0px;margin:0px;" /></a></td></tr></table></div></div>
