Reasons to be optimistic - bascially you have the chance to be a hero. You will be remembered for being the generation which saved the world from climate crisis - basically because if we don't save it, there won't be anyone around to remember us...

Reason to be optimistic?

That the last 18-24 months have shown the wheels are falling off the anthropogenic global warming nonsense and the world may be spared more environmental nonsense that has caused more disaster on this planet than any other single movement.

Whatever will be remembered about the Global Warming movement will most likely be similar to what we remember today about those who sacraficed humans to the rain gods and performed other ritualistic appeasement to the gods for "environmental" favor. AGW is just a more sophisticated version of the same idiocy.

I fear you must have access to information we mere mortals do not, but I always welcome anyone expressing their views, however much they may or may not square with the facts and models of which I am aware...

Just science. I ignore Al Gore and the media and look at the actual science, IPCC, and the abundance of natural and historic evidence.
If you wanted to, PatParslow, you could easily have access to that same
information. It occurs to me on this specific clip that you may not
have science to back up your claims so you rely on the musings of
chicken-little alarmist in Al Gore, who will not discuss his idiotic
opinions with anyone in a public forum. So, I take it you quite enjoy
believing the AGW garbage and are not open to considering the facts.
That is fine. You are certainly entitled.

Well, I was more going on the models I studied as part of my degree, rather than the media hype based on propaganda from oil companies and misguided religious fanatics, but to each their own, I guess

As for Al Gore's contribution, I have nothing much against it even though it does tend to rely on hype itself.
