I think he's right ..

The UN no longer fulfills its original function, if it ever did, and the US should have stopped funding it several years ago.

It is now mostly used as a platform for third party interest groups to attack the minority that fund it.

With video conference calls etc there is no longer any reason to have people traveling all over the world to make speeches.

Let's hope America pulls the plug on it and uses the money for something else.

Sometimes I feel like if we cut the head off, another one just sprouts up in its place. If not the giant hot mess of the UN, then something else will take its place.

The US did stop funding it. The US constantly undermined the UN.
