There were plants in the audience that booed Obama and Edwards when they challenged Clinton. In all the debates ,both Dem and Republican, this is the first one where booing occurred and it occurred only when Clinton was challenged or accused. Also, the most biased and disgusting ploy was the vet that opposed the war. He should have been at the Republican debate. The Dem debate should have featured a vet that is disgusted by the Dems anti-military, anti-victory agenda. CNN is crap! I doubt they would allow a military cheerleader to question the Republicans! I agree with the sentiments. However, anyone who thinks that the debates are *actually* debates is very naive. It's all public relations; not really finding out what our potential elected officials believe (sometimes they lie!!), their stand on important issues, or how they would deal with certain situations. So, how do we become an informed electorate? Hrm. I guess that means the audience members who booed Ron Paul were planted by Giuliani and Thompson? N2, I noticed that a lot of your clips are from blogs. Just wondering if those are your own personal blogs or if you consider blogs news. However, anyone who thinks that the debates are *actually* debates is very naive.Jatfla, Your point reveals the actual target audience of debates. See Hudgal's question to n2sooners. Perfect example. The substance is not an issue. the sparring, accusations, and insinuations are only the symptoms of the profound ignorance that has crept in to our society. It's not about issues or debate. It is about creating doubt and division. If you think the whole debate is pre-planned, you're showing your YOUR naivity. Sure, most of the answers are canned on the news network debates. Some of those zany You Tube debate questions could not possibly be planned for, however. I take it neither of you have watched them. You can still catch all the debates, the fumbles, the saves, and all the finger-pointing on You Tube. It's really quite entertaining. Sorry, but those are the only ones I've watched. The 'canned' debates tell you nothing. Also, it's pretty telling to see exactly whom can think on his/her feet and whom can not. I think it would have been really humorous to watch G.W. in a You Tube debate. "Our children does learn." Lol. The substance is not an issue. the sparring, accusations, and insinuations are only the symptoms of the profound ignorance that has crept in to our society. It's not about issues or debate. It is about creating doubt and division.I agree completely about the profound ignorance that has crept into out society. Your comment is a perfect example of this. It IS about issues: how a candidate's views differ from their oppnents. I can tell you that most Americans, sadly, wouldn't even have a CLUE WHAT the issues are if it weren't for the dabates. As far as doubt and division, surely you're not naive enough to believe that these haven't always been present! I can assurte you that th... Hrm. I guess that means the audience members who booed Ron Paul were planted by Giuliani and Thompson? If they had booed all but one candidate, then I would wonder about the audience being fixed, yes. I don't recall everyone at the Democrat debates booing all but one candidate either. Maybe it's worth another look though. I could be wrong. Like I said, I only watched the You Tube debates, but I have seen clips from the others on the local and national news. You're a loon, hudgal. Just a bit touched it seems. I do not recall making a comment to you. But I made one to YOU. That's how Clipmarks works, Willie. You can make comments about about other people's comments and clips. Again, Wille, with the name-calling? Learn some manners. Sure, but pointing out your amazing stupidity is a must. Especially when you accuse me of arguing when the only person arguing is YOU! You are so narcissistic. I find your banter as the rantings of self-deluded imbecile. I place honesty above what you consider to be manners. Your posts are so predictable. My statement about you arguing was a generalization, not referring to this specific thread. I'm just presenting opinions, which is what this site is all about. I'm also not attacking anyone, so don't take it so personally. I actually find you quite amusing. You're so hostile! Manners and honesty are generally not disjoint sets to most people, but it does provide some insight into the way you mind works. I will, however, pass it on to Mensa that one of their members is considered an 'imbecile' by the GREAT mind of Wilhelm. Perhaps you could use your influence to have them revoke my membership. I will, however, pass it on to Mensa that one of their members is considered an 'imbecile' by the GREAT mind of Wilhelm. You are strange! Hey, you two play nice together. Don't make me pull over... |
