Its sad...modern day Shylocks This has been going on for many years. Sad to say No doubt poverty makes money for the corporations. Think about how much more money is spent, over the long-run, on paycheck-to-paycheck spending versus those who can afford warehouse prices. When people cannot afford that 30-50 cents more on the larger portions, the food won't last as long. Hence, the next paycheck they're back at the store buying the small portion. Of course, it is those smaller portions that have the larger profit margins. It's like that here too. You got that right, Tanyamm. It's why I like it here at Clipmarks. It's nice to get the gist of articles from peoples' clips, and then go to the articles for more detail. Versus trying to find the point of some long articles. |
