Oh well, that's that problem solved then! The actions of one good person do more than the prayers of millions. Loads of prayer and no action. Typical. Yeah, day after day I pray for the dishes to wash themselves, or my flat to keep itself clean and for priests to stop bugg*ring children. They all have the same lack of effect. However, its easy for me to criticise. I am pleased that the problem is being recognised, and highlighted. More needs to be done by the church to remove these sick f**kers from positions of responsibility among communities. Disgusting all round. Another whitewash of a very serious issue, and that issue is the cover up and 'move around' of those sick fk's to begin with- all of course done quietly by certain officials in the Church. They should be charged as accessories. I am mystified how more criminal charges have not been laid in these matters. I am glad many victims have got money in compensation and been able to possibly go on knowing they were somewhat vindicated....but I am very interested in the actions of those who participated in the cover ups and who, despite their despicable actions- still hold their positions. One might ask why the clergy attracts pedophiles? Is it something inherent in the institution or just a statistical necessity, since there are peds everywhere? @papanook: Celibacy pressures. |
