I haven't actually read this yet, but Collins is an interesting thinker.

Anyone can say 'god made the laws of physics' and that would not be a conflict.

Nor does it in any way point to a god.

I'm wondering if Mr. Collins separates faith from religion. That would be a critical hinge of my view of his view. Dogma, regardless of it is scientific dogma or religious dogma, is the dumb-downing of thought and the usurper or denial of personal experience.
