Ok...I agree the Democrats have been wimps....but NOT all of them. Basically, politics sucks (everywhere). One party systems sucks. Two party systems suck. Parlimentary systems suck.

So what now?

I hope this is not too much of a 'bring down,' or bummer, but the only viable (and peaceful) way to change all this sucking is to, gasp! -- work step by step, year by year, vote by vote to improve it.

Support, BTW, means things like write these specific elected representatives a letter and an email and thank them for their actions. This encourages them.

Make a phone call to their office with the same idea. Send them some cash (gasp!). Tell your friends about these specific resolutions. Blog it. Clip it. Digg it.

Write to the opponents of these people and tell these opponents what *hitheads they are. (This helps discourage them).

Make up or put up bumper stickers. Posters. Banners. Think creative. Act.

Also, in general Electing better leaders and kicking out the bad ones, where and when possible is always critically important because as we see, leaders can pretty much do what they want so getting the best ones inoffice is perhaps the most important need: i.e., vote.
