I often wondered about this during rare and delirious viewings of present-day television shows...especially between moments of resulting nausea and thoughts of suicide.

I gave up watching TV as all of the shows seemed to
to be about deadly criminals that a screenwriter's invention, or game shows that keep trying to run the same shows with different names. Still, I don't get to see much now, because most of the time when I walk into the tv room, there's an ad on.
The problem with the creation of the universe, is that when it was made, they didn't expect it would have to grow this big before intelligent life evolved.

Your point is well-taken if we are living in an expanding universe. Personally, I think the whole place may have deflated long ago.
