I don't remember the day that I picked up my first issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly. I don't remember how old I was when I read my first issue of Gamepro (but I was young, I swear). I don't remember why I subscribed to Play.

But I do remember the first time my friend let me read the first issue of Nintendo Power. To me, it was at its greatest when the NES and Super NES were out, serving as a marketing tool for the console. The maps were clutch at the time. Over the last 10-15 years, the magazine lost its luster, which is too bad. If this is the truth, I will miss it.
