The Ainu have always intrigued me. The original Ainu are caucasian, rather than Asian, and it is still a mystery how this group of people got there.

I too have been very intrigued by the Ainu.
They are but one more people who have long been persecuted because they were different from the predominant people.

Unfortunately history is awash with such examples of man's inhumanity to man right up to, and including, the present day.

I like to, or more correctly need to, believe that we, as a species, are evolving into more empathetic creatures.

Alas it is too late for many small unique tribes.

Ours generally speaking, being a vain ignorant species with never know the cultural richness we have lost
