Actually, the companies here that are importing the stuff are equally to blame. Instead of buying their ingredients from countries that have standards and regulations, they go to places like China to maximize their profits at the expense of putting consumers at risk. The same components could be bought here for a few pennies more per ton, but that cuts into the CEO's millions. China isn't as communist as it used to be, and they got that way by copying and competing with us.
