It is a fundamental question of 2nd amendment of the Constitution. The Bush Justice Dept is trying to make an exception which cannot stand, unless the 2nd amendment means nothing.

btw, the washington DC area has the highest murder rate of any place in the country. Just more evidence that taking away guns does not decrease violent crime, but just the opposite. Criminals think twice when everyone is armed.
