masbury says:
The choice of Palin reveals a dishonourable lust for office, a disrespect for women generally and a dishonourable indifference to the future of his country.

Great post Masbury. I felt the same way about McCain in the beginning, I mean I wasn't going to vote for him, but I didn't hate the guy. But when he chose Palin. That decision not only blind sided me completely, but scared the crap out of me. If McCain wins there is a huge possibility that he'll soon die leaving our country in her hands. Oh my God....the chaos, really that isn't a joke.

I recall a quote from Oliver Stone's movie 'Nixon' :

Nixon shuffles back alone, coming to a stop in front of a larger-than-life, full-length oil portrait of JOHN F. KENNEDY. Nixon studies the portrait, pads closer. Looks up.

It would ne nice if the majority of voters were as intelligent as you - unfortunately, McCain realizes they are easily dooped by superficialities - she's a big hit and they'll probably win - sad state of affairs, indeed!

Ridiculous argument from the left, showing themselves as nothing but sore losers.

Every Presidential candidate tries to pick a VP that would help in the election. McCain has no more 'lust for office' than anyone else running for the job. If you look at the European stunt of Obama, and the Olympic speech event (or speech event that looked like Olympics) - it's clear who really 'lusts for office' between them.

The fact that she has such an appeal in her own state, certainly energized the Republicans in very short order, and is certainly responsible to a degree, perhaps large degree, to his latest poll bump - clearly an indication that he made the choice that worked for him as any candidate...
