wow! He made me laugh so hard as a kid- i haven't watched him much in recent years, but my brother and i were big fans when we were little. How incredibly sad.

My husband and I have been big fans, too. He really made us laugh out loud. He'll be missed.

One story I read suggested he may have had something incurable but that the writer refused to speculate until it was confirmed. He was one of my all time favorite comedians after Phil Hartman. (Another tragic death.) I tried finding a link, but now I can't. Sorry. It's as if it was never said.

Sigh... he'll be missed. I still quote lines from "platypus Man" whenever appropriate.
