And a great love for the idea of freeing mankind from the tyrants of monopolies, as he wished, and had the technology to give every person on earth FREE ELECTRICITY! And as much of it as they desired.

The REAL Napster
Leonardo DaVinci, Albert Einstein and the scientists involved in the Manhattan Project were also anti-war. Yet they all contributed directly or indirectly to the most horrible weapons devised in their times. Many scientists and inventors forget to add the ramifications of their discoveries impact on society and learn later what mistakes they made.

Is the inventor of the knife responsible for all the murders made with this weapon ? Is the inventor of the wheel responsible for all the human deaths made by cars ? Is the bullet to blame for the death of someone? No, the person who uses the invention in the wrong way is to blame, he is responsible.

Thats's true only if the use of the object being invented is ambigous. A knife can be used to kill a person, but it also has several other non-violent uses and your argument is sound when it comes to wheels too. But what about the scientist in the Manhattan project?( The same could be argued about the inventer of the bullet) The primary goal of the project was to develop a weapo...

The scientists at the Manhattan project where trying to use the nuclear energy. Bad luck made that the primary goal was a military one an involved mass destruction. The man who invented the bullet tried to make a faster arrow. Bad luck pointed the arrow at man. This is due to the fact that the army has more interests and better funding.

If somebody picked up a knife an stabbed a person that act took a few seconds. The Manhattan project is the same thing but taking a lot more. I'm saying that nuclear energy, bullets (and other inventions) are not bad things in them selfs (because we like clean electricity and we like to hunt and compete in the biathlon.) The idea of these things was good but the first interpretation was bad.

Tesla knew that when he was doing research, he was trying to discover the way electricity, energy, and matter behaved under certain conditions. He was contributing to the understanding of how these things worked. He discovered some of the ways energy behaved, it did not begin to behave that way purely because because of his discovery. Pierre, and Marie Curie found out that radiation was fatal, almost by default. Without their discoveries, there are minerals that will still be refined emitting toxic radiation. If Einstein had not come up with the theory of relativity, relativity would still exist, perhaps approached in a different manner. Everything can be used to create or destroy, and as we d...
