hudgal1 says: I suppose it's POSSIBLE that we evolved from some organic matter that hitched a ride on a flying space rock, but I wouldn't hold my breath. When you look at what life has had thrown at it and the way it has survived, it seems a bit vain to think the only boot strap was here. The objective of life is to perpetuate, by whatever means, and our planet's history has some of the most remarkable ways of showing us how this was done. There have been quite a number of "Mass Extinction Events," where there have each time been unique variations that allowed life to continue in another direction. That's not to mention the innumerable variations which left records we will never find, or recognize. Our definition of life is particularly "Terracentric", but life doesn't have the boundaries we give it. There is a saying "Nature abhors a Vacuum"... I guess that means "I AM a space cowboy!" Impossible. It is a FACT that I was hatched on Venus and I have the papers to prove it! |
