Why would producers need writers. If rubbish can make money, all they need to produce is rubbish. Surely they have the ability to mount a production with their own talent. But there's so much money in syndicated marketing. Who needs a writer to sell a movie based video game, or the latest T-Shirt
It seems quite clear that if the money is rolling in, quality is not a problem. Maybe someone will make a film of it (At least on You tube)
