Actually, I gather the book is as much an indictment of the press as it is the President - the media just now admitting there was considerable corporate pressure on them to not resist the President. Like you, I haven't read it. I was watching BBC news at the time of the invasion, along with US network news, and was astonished by how much more aggressively the BBC pursued the big questions surrounding the invasion than the American corporate media did. |
