Something I didn't know: Why Australians might find it surprising that Americans root for teams - as in "Cheerleaders rooted for every player on the football squad."

A.strange subject for one such as you normally in a less flippant vain?On TV morning Show conversation was about "US going to Pot" ,meant as financial sector not the obvious, our colloquialisms are often amusing to oversea,s visitors who think were a weird mob,, but "come on down";D
