Technically speaking, the eighth drop in Parnell's famous Pitch-Drop demonstration experiment "fell" at the end of November last year, while I was overseas. Unfortunately the high-tech webcam's digital memory also suffered a bout of amnesia at the crucial moment... I love this, and I'm such a geek I would literally sit glued to the monitor watching the webcam and hoping to see the drop fall. But the link didn't work for me...I'll try another browser Glass has some of the same properties. The glass in old churches is slightly thicker at the bottom than the top. i have learned more from this clipmark and reading the comments than any other...go figure! I never realized it was at my old university! How could you have missed such a rip-roaring experiment in your midst? It took a bit of sticktoitiveness to find it no doubt. But while I'm adding a comment I though I might also add how funny it is that the word fast has opposing meanings. |
