Russia has fallen, so we created a new enemy in terrorism. War is the most profitable endeavor.Everything else is just details.

Wow. Pretty bleak outlook. War isn't profitable. War is expensive. War is brutal. People die.

Earth to sillysam. War is profitable for arms makers. War is profitable for oil men.War is profitable for contractors. War is profitable for banks.

Do we not have an oil man running the US?

War is profitable for certain businesses but it isn't profitable for the country as a whole.

And so what if we have oil man running the country. We had a sex addict running the country but as far as I know it didn't affect his policy decisions.

I tell you what, would you rather have someone who has REAL LIFE business experience running the country or a career politician who has no idea what it is like to work.

War is a racket. Man it gets loud when those tanks come rolling through.

It's profitable for the businesses that run the US.

And they have you convinced that they are doing you a favor.

Good luck with that.

As long as the war doesn't come to your doorstep, everything is ok, right?

I would figure you might be pretty peeved at the judgement handed down to Exxon. The livelihoods/environment destroyed is immense. Not to mention the limitations imposed upon those wanting to take oil companies to court in the future.

Well I am a former soldier so war has come to my doorstep.

I am not an anti-business person like you. I have worked for corporations, I have my own business. I don't see the phantoms you do.

Why would I be upset with Exxon. The spill was fairly isolated. They shore is clean now. The fish are there. The fishermen got paid. In fact, those fishermen who lost their fishing livelihood not onyl got paid for the loss in fishing income, most of them made 5 times as much money renting out their boats to Exxon cleaning crews. Thousands of Alaska went down there and made enough money in a month's time to take the rest of the year off. My best buddy in college came back to school driving a Mercedes that year.
