AtlLiberal says: I wonder how the superintendent would respond to a government organization that included on their letterhead the phrase "Uniontown - Only Christians Allowed", or "Uniontown - Jew Free"! It's mighty difficult for the privileged to see their own bigotry. Their defense? We've gotten away with it for years so it must be ok. What a bunch of wankers. Because after awhile "privileges" morph into "rights" in the mind of the privileged even though the reality has not changed one bit. If you ever get into an argument with a believer on subjects like this they will say that they are not trying to get away with anything. That they don't work to instill such religious propaganda into things like currency, the pledge, or into the wordings of institutions. But you sure as hell will never see them drop something they have once they got it. They get sanctimonious and turn the argument against you as a god hater because you question it and want it removed. Tradition: an excuse for being hidebound? |
