<P>Research clearly is needed to determine which sounds scare off which species 
of birds. Whistles to produce these sounds could then be designed. Possibly, a 
whistle no wider than a wine glass could be crafted to sound the bird alarm when 
the blades were turning. When the wind died, and the blades slowed or stopped, 
the whistle would stop. Possibly, sounds in higher or lower registers than human 
ears can hear might frighten birds away while protecting human ears from the
