I did not watch the debates...neither of them. But I sure have heard and read a lot about them today.

I don't care that democrats are asking republican candidates questions. What I dislike is the deception put forth that these are *ordinary* citizens with concerns that are shared by regular Americans. Some of the questions are asinine. Like "Would Jesus support the death penalty?" Just plain dumb.

These debates or even public political forums aren't about the positions of the candidates, how they would handle the serious problems that we're facing, what are their qualifications, etc....it's about saying what they think certain people want to hear, about being quick-witted, about being...

These debates or even public political forums aren't about the positions of the candidates, how they would handle the serious problems that we're facing, what are their qualifications, etc....it's about saying what they think certain people want to hear, about being quick-witted, about being PC. Heck, half the things these candidates promise could never be accomplished...just ask a President dealing with a stonewalling Congress.

And is anyone else realizing that *somebody* is creating the important issues for the people? A lot of things that the media and some candidates are putting out there really aren't among some serious top-priorities.
