n2sooners says: So, Wright is Jesus, the rest of us are the evil Romans and Jews who killed him, and he mentioned the latest unmentionable word which now ranks up there with the three "N" words (you know, nappy, noose, and that other one) multiple times. Glad to hear they have toned things down to help their boy win. Who's side are they on anyway? Exaggerated to be sure. Thats the problem when your language is infused with religious symbols, everything becomes "Wrath of God" stuff. On the other hand I find it curious that among the objections cited to Wright's sermon is: declared it damned for its (US) “state-sponsored terrorism,”because gosh, really, that has never happend, ever, nah ah.... The issue isn't whether the US has done bad things. it has. The issue is whether you want to elect someone President of this country who says these kind of things in this way. Because now that church is Obama's voice no matter how much he will pretend otherwise. And Obama has only himself to blame. Apparently there are many who will help Obama rationalize and practice what is called denial in psychiatry, but will most Americans do that just to elect an unknown quantity that unlike his church is much better at saying what people want to hear. How else would you say them? The truth is the truth. And Obama has not said these things in this way, now has he. On the contrary, he has done the opposite. Is your church your voice? I'm Catholic and the Pope doesn't speak for me, now does he? If you are Catholic and the Pope doesn't speak for you, why are you Catholic? But that is not the same case anyway, unless the Pope is your personal friend and mentor? |
