This is pretty darn cool but I'm not sure I'd consider it art.

indeed cool, the vid (at the site) is interesting, but all interactive art installations have a dubious quality to them, they need you, the observer, the interactive agent, to come alive and become art..
art needs to stimulate the higher faculties, for me, if it passes this test, its art.

That has always being the question about art, is it complete by itself or does it need an audience? At least its not post-modernistic crap.

I guess art is always subjective but I feel like it's no different than the computer I put together with some fans and lighting. I would never call it art but in a context like this it's no different.

That looks really great. Plugged in or not, I'd use that as a divider! Then it'll be functional art!
